Famous Brand Logos As You've Never Seen Them Before

The logo is arguably the most important design decision a company can make. The logo is the face of the company – it will likely appear on all other collateral, from packaging to posters. Ideally, the logo communicates the essence of what the company is about – its purpose, its values, and its personality.

That's why playing with logos is so much fun for many designers. An altered logo can reflect a completely different company, or find a different way to communicate the same thing. It's an intriguing process that takes a lot of skill to nail down.

Sometimes, we at DesignCrowd feel existing logos don't do as much as they could to promote a company's values. For example, when Netflix revealed its overhauled logo, we felt they could have done a lot more with it, so we asked our designers to show them how. At other times, we felt the values companies are trying to convey, and the ones they actually show in their actions don't quite match up. With that in mind, we asked our designers to show us what those logos ought to look like.

And then there's the times where we sit at our desks and just dream away... "What if?" is a question often asked in our office. What if our favorite companies were Game of Thrones houses? Or hipsters? Or launched in 1914?
